Moonshine ‘a gonna cross it

We got stuck in beautiful Banff because record rains took out the Meager Creek bridge in Canmore, and caused mudslides on the remaining five highways out of Banff. After three days stuck, we had to get out. It was 2am right after playing a killer show at Wild Bill’s, we were sweaty and tired but Scraggly Dan needed to get to his brother’s wedding.

The highway reports warned us that the bridge was out. The highway signs warned us the highway was closed. But if anyone ‘a gonna cross it… MOONSHINE ‘a gonna cross it!

The bride and groom were interviewed after their wedding while the handsome groom wore some Moonshine swag… even blogged in Chinese:

Moonshine Express Theme II Music Video

We’ve been hard at play as a Do-It-Yourself band, spending hundreds of hours dialing in our sound and learning the skills we need to be a part of the music biz. Here is our first music video for Moonshine Express that Nic Kirschner, Carla and I have put together since I have been off on pat-leave, no pun intended. Scraggly Dan’s girlfriend was not impressed with the outcome of his face, but we’d like you guys to be the judge.

Synopsis: “In an attempt to give Moonshine Express a new face, Scraggly Dan cuts off his infamous moustache. Unbeknownst to him, this pesky moustache has a life of its own, carrying on powered by the strength of moonshine. Can he ever be killed for good?”

Not So Scraggly Dan

Ion magazine just recently put up a photo shoot that features one of our most valuable band member, Dan’s mustache!  Err… and Dan as well.

The feature is on guys who have done impressively well for Movember.  There’s some serious facial hair going on there.  On that topic, don’t forget to go in for routine check ups – it could save your life!

Happy Birthday Papa Moonshine!

Inside the Moonshine Mobile

This St. Patrick’s Day, the Moonshine Express celebrated their own Paddy:

Happy birthday to Papa Moonshine (Pat Garcia)!

The house in Surrey was packed to the walls with people rejoicing over beers crafted by artisan brewmeister Scraggles and Pat.  Ain’t no party like a Moonshine party!
